Are aligners right for you?
Four things to know:- Clear aligners work for most bites.
- There is no age limit for aligners. We have mature adults wearing aligners currently. They work well. For some adults it does move a little slower.
- You need to wear them 23 out of 24 hours a day. They only work if you wear them. Only remove them to eat and to clean your teeth.
- They are not hard to wear, but it is easier not to. Your success with aligners depends largely on you.
Before starting your orthodontic treatment, Dr. McCrea and his team will need to collect information about the condition your teeth are in now. They will take x-rays, take digital scans to simulate the process of straightening your teeth.
Dr. McCrea looks at this information and plans how to best straighten your teeth and estimate the time needed to complete treatment. He will discuss your options with you and if you like, start you on your journey to a great smile!
